This paper  covers the following topics:

• Section A
  • Tones and Pinyin — identifying correct tones (mā/má/mǎ/mà; xué); combining initials and finals (sh+uo, j+ü, h+ao)
  • Character writing — identifying missing strokes in “我”, stroke order for “家 (jiā)”
  • Family vocabulary — matching Chinese characters and Pinyin to English relations (爷爷, 奶奶, 舅舅, 妹妹, 哥哥)
  • Professions and places of work — categorizing 医生, 老师, 厨师, 农民 by workplace (学校, 医院, 饭店, 农场)
  • Grammar — demonstrative pronouns (这 zhè / 那 nà); adverbs of degree (很 hěn / 太 tài)
• Section B
  • Reading comprehension — passage “去肯尼亚旅游 (Travelling to Kenya)”: identifying animals in Masai Mara, physical features of Naivasha, translation, tourism vocabulary matching, sentence reordering
  • Spatial prepositions — describing positions using 在…上/下/里
  • Extended grammar and written tasks — describing family, school life, and daily routines in Mandarin.
• Total Marks: 80 (Section A: 30 marks; Section B: 50 marks)
