2026 Grade 2 Rationalized Mentor CRE Lesson Plans – Term 3

The Lesson Plans are organized under the following;

• Christian Values
  • Thankfulness – Importance of thanking others, everyday gratitude scenarios, reciting 1 Thessalonians 5:18, and designing “Thank You” flashcards and posters
  • Forgiveness – Parable of the Prodigal Son (Luke 15:11–22), dramatizing the welcoming father, forgiving seventy times seven (Matthew 18:21–22), and drawing/colouring forgiveness scenes
  • Responsibility – Identifying items to carry to school, taking care of stationery and learning resources, desk and bag organization, and reflecting on Colossians 3:23
  • Work – Helping parents with domestic chores at home, participating in school cleanliness, serving joyfully in church, and composing poems on hard work

  • The Lord’s Prayer – Reading, memorizing, and reciting the first four lines of Matthew 6:9–10, and singing prayer songs
  • A Friend at Midnight – Parable of the persistent neighbor (Luke 11:5–10), dramatization, and lessons on persistent prayer

  • Promises Given by Parents vs. Jesus Promising the Holy Spirit (Acts 1:4, Acts 2:3–4)
  • The Role and Work of the Holy Spirit – Strengthening (Luke 24:49), Guiding (Romans 8:14), Uniting believers (Ephesians 4:3–4), making summary flashcards, and role-playing Christian character
• End of Year Assessment, Review, and Closing
  • Topical revision of Christian Values (Thankfulness, Forgiveness, Responsibility, Work)
  • Topical revision of The Church and The Holy Spirit
