This records of work provide comprehensive coverage of the Term 2 2026 PP1 IRE syllabus.

• Number of Weeks: 1-12 (Weeks 6, 13, and 14 out of the 14 weeks are missing, as they are dedicated to the mid-term break, end of term 2 revisions, and exam administration).

It covers the following strands and sub-strands:

• HADITH (Weeks 1-4)
  • Hadith on: obedience
    • Defined the term obedience, discussed ways children obey their parents to make them happy, and appreciated the importance of obedience.
    • Identified actions that annoy Allah (SWT), discussed the teachings of Hadith on obedience, and appreciated its teachings.
    • Recited what gives Allah pleasure and anger, practiced obedience in daily life, and showed obedience at home.
    • Listed school rules observed, practiced obedience in school to follow the orders of Allah, and appreciated the importance of obedience in school.
    • Recited Qur’an 4:59, discussed the importance of the Hadith of Obedience in shaping lives, and appreciated its importance.
    • Recited the Prophet’s hadith on Obedience, answered questions correctly, and appreciated obedience as part of faith.
  • Hadith on: Cleanliness
    • Stated what Islam teaches us, read and interpreted the Hadith on Cleanliness in English, and desired to be clean.
    • Stated the number of verses in the Hadith on Cleanliness, recited it as an act of worship, and desired to share the message at home.
    • Named items used in personal cleanliness, maintained personal hygiene for healthy living, and desired to maintain personal cleanliness.
    • Identified the dos and don’ts on cleanliness, discussed activities of ibadah, and practiced cleanliness in daily life.
    • Identified good and bad hygiene practices, brainstormed the importance of maintaining personal hygiene, and appreciated cleanliness as part of faith.
• DEVOTIONAL ACTS (Weeks 4-7)
  • Pillars of Islam
    • Defined the term Devotional acts, recited the five pillars of Islam, and desired to observe them.
    • Identified the number of pillars in Islam and memorized the pillars using a song.
    • Pronounced correctly the five pillars of Islam, matched pictures with the correct term, and used the terms correctly.
    • Pronounced the Shahadah as an act of ibadah, described it, and desired to properly perform the Shahadah.
    • Recited the Shahadah in song, discussed its importance as a basic principle of Islam, and appreciated it.
    • Spelled correctly the pillars of Islam, described their meaning, and traced, coloured, read, and recited the Shahadah.
• MORAL TEACHINGS (Weeks 7-12)
  • Islamic etiquettes
    • Responded appropriately to Islamic greetings, interpreted their meaning, and desired to respond appropriately.
    • Identified good deeds in Islam, recited the Prophet’s Hadith on Islamic Greetings, and used them in daily life.
    • Identified Islamic etiquettes on greetings, discussed the Prophet’s Hadith on how to greet others, and desired to get a blessing.
    • Identified when to greet others, discussed the importance of greetings in Islam, and appreciated their use.
    • Defined the term Bismillah and discussed the dua before eating using the Prophet’s hadith.
    • Defined the term Alhamdulillah and read and memorized the Dua after eating.
    • Identified the hand used while eating a meal and practiced Islamic manners while eating.
    • Identified the steps to take before eating a meal and discussed the Islamic manners before, during and after eating.
    • Identified the things not to do when eating and discussed the reasons why the habits are discouraged.
    • Recited the Prophet’s Hadith on manners of eating and discussed why we should not eat with the left hand.
    • Recited the prescribed dua before and after drinking and practiced Islamic manners of drinking.
    • Identified the meaning of the Islamic phrases Jazakallah khayr, Masha Allah, and Insha’Allah, describing situations when they are used.
