- Energy: Forms of energy and energy transformations in devices like flashlights and hydroelectric plants.
- Electricity and Magnetism: Static electricity, simple electric circuits, non-magnetic materials, and applications of electromagnets.
- Light and Optics: Use of a microscope and calculating total magnification.
